Information about Kingston:

The city of Kingston is located on the west bank of the Hudson River in between the cities of New York and Albany. The first names of the city being Esopus and Wiltwyck, it became the first capital city of the state of New York in 1777 and because of its strategic location has been a witness to a number of battles and invasions. The population of Kingston is predominantly white with other communities like the African Americans, the Asians and the other races having a small presence.
