Information about Citadel Outlets:
Citadel Outlet mall is the only outlet mall in Los Angeles. The impressive complex can be seen alongside the Interstate 5 in Los Angeles County. The mall, located in the city of Commerce plays host to the biggest brands in the world with over a hundred stores, food outlets and office areas. The mall has stores of Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger to name a few. It is conveniently placed, as it would take a 15 minutes bus ride from downtown Los Angeles or Anaheim area to reach the mall during off-traffic hours. It is also placed two blocks away from the famous Commerce Casino, making it a more suitable place to hang out.
The site, in which the mall is built, used to be a tire factory till the month of November 1990. The tire factory, named Samson Tire and Rubber Company was built in 1918 in the Citadel Building, which also has an Assyrian-style castle wall. The wall was used in the shooting of the famous movie, Ben Hur, making the place more memorable. But by November 1990 it made way for the multi-use project. The outlet, besides having retail stores and food courts, also has five office buildings and is home to a 201-room Double Tree Hotel. The Hotel is one of the hotspots of the city, and provides the best amenities and facilities in the entire Los Angeles.
Being the only outlet mall in Los Angeles, it gets footfall from the entire city of Los Angeles. People from all parts of the city, and even Orange County and Ontario visit the outlet mall by taking the I-5 or I-10. The LAX airport is only 30 minutes from the mall, which makes it easier for people all over to come and visit the outlet.
